Image by Getty Images via @daylifeMy name is Jim and I currently reside in Trang, Thailand. I am almost 63 years of age and single. I am a citizen of the USA, specifically from Seattle, Washington. And I have been here in Thailand for about 7 weeks now.The reason I have started this blog is to share some experiences I have had and lead into the reason I am here in Thailand. Hopefully you may get a chuckle or 2 and maybe nod or shake your head in some of the things I will share. I do not pretend to have the female gender figured out. It is their world and I know it. I just try to live peacefully in it. And if you read anything interesting, please share your thoughts and any constructive criticisms you may have as well.
I have been single all my life. Have had a few long term relationships but none that set my world on fire. Close to marriage once but that was long distance and we all know where that goes usually. It is not that I had an urgent urge if you will to get married. No family or friends felt it was their duty to set me up or any such thing. A majority of my business career was a traveling sales man. Literally most weeks I would hop on a plan on Sunday or Monday and returned home Thursday or Friday. That was all well and good. I did eventually get tired of schlepping my luggage and computer from town to town. During those trips I did manage to meet alot of awfully nice people and some I am proud to say I am still friends today...
